Blessing Awodibu, also known as the “Boogeyman”, is making a comeback in 2023. In an interview with Ron Harris from muscular development, Blessing revealed that he plans to participate in three bodybuilding shows this year: Chicago Pro, Tampa Pro, and Texas Pro. He mentioned that he has a lot to prove to other bodybuilders and that he wants to demonstrate that he has what it takes to be among the best.

Blessing has been quiet lately, but he looks bigger than ever, weighing over 300 pounds. He also revealed that he is no longer working with a coach and is coaching himself with the help of his two friends. He believes that this arrangement is working for him, but many experts have expressed their concerns, stating that he needs an authority figure to help him navigate his prep and make the right decisions at the right time.

One of the things that Blessing needs to focus on is his leg development, which is still not equal to his upper body. No matter how good he looked or what shows he won last year, what matters is now, and he needs to prioritize his leg development this off-season if he wants to be a top Olympian.

Harris also pointed out that Blessing is currently at his heaviest weight ever, standing at 301 pounds. However, Harris expressed skepticism that Blessing truly feels great at that weight, given his experience as a former professional bodybuilder.

Blessing is confident that he can win at least one of the three shows he plans to participate in, which would earn him a spot at the Olympia. However, Harris cautioned that the competition at these shows would be much steeper than what Blessing faced last year when he won the Indy and New York shows.

Harris hopes to see the best “Boogeyman” on stage come these three shows, with Blessing standing next to Andrew Jacked, Samson Dauda, Big Ramy, and the rest of the top bodybuilders in the world. But Harris emphasizes that Blessing still has to earn that respect and win one of these shows convincingly to be considered a serious contender.

Despite the skepticism, Blessing remains confident and determined to make a splash this year. He has a lot to prove and wants to demonstrate that he has what it takes to be among the best. Only time will tell if he can live up to his promises and make a comeback that will shake up the bodybuilding world.
