Jay Cutler, the former 4-time Mr. Olympia Champion, IFBB professional bodybuilder, and arguably one of the best bodybuilders of all time, is turning 50 years old in a few months and wants to get in the best shape of his life. In this video we examine Jay’s progress over the last few weeks and what he is doing to achieve his 50-year-old transformation goal.

One question that stands out over the last few weeks when reviewing Jay’s progress is, was Jay Cutler in better shape in this video or a couple of weeks ago? I would argue Jay looked a little bit better a few weeks ago compared to this video! Jay is starting his transformation to turn 50 years old, and the clock is ticking. With just a few months left, he needs to dial in his training and nutrition in order to achieve his best physique possible.

In this video we review Jay’s physique and we find that he is a bit flatter than he was a couple of weeks ago. Jay has lost about 60 pounds from his peak bodybuilding weight, which can affect the elasticity of his skin. More elastic skin will affect definition, visibility of striations, and vascularity due to the extra tissue area from the downsizing.

Something that Jay spoke about and needs to be taken seriously is the importance of sleep. Sleep is the most critical aspect of recovery. Whether you are a competitor or not, get as much sleep as possible, regardless of whether you are using drugs or not.

Overall, the video provides an interesting insight into the life of a former 4th-time Mr. Olympia and the efforts required to maintain a perfect physique. Jay Cutler’s dedication to staying in shape even as he approaches 50 is an inspiration to many.
