MK 677 is a non-peptide agonist of the ghrelin receptor and a growth hormone secretagogue. Ghrelin is a gastrointestinal peptide hormone known as the “hunger hormone” that classically stimulates hunger. It also directly increases the secretion of human growth hormone and insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF1).
Ibutamoren (MK677) is commonly known as a non-peptide growth hormone secretagogue that mimics ghrelin’s stimulation action. Ghrelin is referred to as the hunger hormone in the body that is usually associated with circadian rhythms. This non-peptide is considered to be potent, long-acting, and available via oral administration. Clinically, Ibutamoren has been demonstrated to increase the release of growth hormones (GH) and insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1). This is without needing the adverse increase of prolactin or cortisol, which is often seen in GHRPs. In addition, the increase in your lean body mass can also be achieved while lowering your body’s LDL cholesterol with the use of Ibutamoren. Take note that growth hormone secretagogue (GHS) are compounds that help in promoting growth hormone levels. As aging continuously occurs, the GH, which is monitored by a blood marker called the IGF 1, declines rapidly. Although this decline is natural, peptide therapy can always restore your body’s health and wellness to improve the quality of your life.
MK 677, also known as Ibutamoren, has been shown to increase lean body mass and bone density. At just 15mg daily, it can stimulate generation of increased lean body mass, increased bone density, and enhanced fat loss capability, while stimulating increased appetite. Additional positive benefits include deeper sleep and enhanced recovery from intense training sessions and the most common side effect experienced is hand paresthesias (tingling).
Because MK 677 acts on the GH-IGF1 axis and as a ghrelin agonist, a post cycle therapy (PCT) is not necessary following usage of this potent performance enhancer.
