Retired Veteran IFBB Pro bodybuilder Shawn Ray posted to instagram a few weeks ago and decided to slander Coach Chad Nicholls’ name once again. There wasn’t 1 bodybuilding media outlet that picked up this post and I felt like it was necessary to put Shawn Ray in his place for this completely distasteful post.

Chad and Shawn have had a lot of issues. Chad refused to coach Shawn Ray when he was in the prime of his career, which was when Chad was helping people like Flex Wheeler, Ronnie Coleman, and all the big names in bodybuilding. Chad Nichols didn’t want to coach Shawn Ray because back then he was also disrespectful to everyone. Nobody wanted to be associated with him or be friends with him. Shawn Ray did have one of the best physiques of all time, but that doesn’t give you the right to be disrespectful to people.

Shawn posted a photo of former bodybuilders with the caption:

“Trivia question of the day. What do they all have in common, with the exception of them all being former bodybuilders that are now all dead?”

This is beyond disrespectful to the competitors shown in the post and to their family members. This sounds like it’s coming from someone who hates bodybuilding. Shawn is completely out of place and should be ashamed of himself. He also wrote a number of hashtags that were very disrespectful.

One of the individuals in the photo was Dallas McCarver. Dallas passed away in  2017 at 25 years old due to a heart attack. He was in the prime of his career and was 300 plus pounds when he passed. Dallas was battling some health issues at that time for several months and Chad Nicholls coached Dallas McCarver for around a year. Chad is the last person who should be blamed for Dallas McCarver passing away. It’s nobody’s fault except the individual who lets drugs in their own body.
